Injured Male- 1700blk 20th St W

Members of the SPS, Major Crime Section have charged a 20 year old Saskatoon male and a 17 year old Saskatoon youth in connection with the September 21, 2019 aggravated assault of 38 year old Saskatoon male.

On September 21, 2019 at approximately 6:00 p.m. an assault on a male was witnessed in the 1700 block of 20th Street West. Police and Medavie Health Services West responded to the scene locating a critically injured 38 year old male. He was transported to Royal University Hospital where he currently remains in critical condition.

The subsequent investigation resulted in a 20 year old Saskatoon male and a 17 year old Saskatoon male youth being arrested in an apartment in the 1700 block of 20th Street. Both accused have been charged with Aggravated Assault and are scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court this morning.

Investigators do not believe that this incident was random or that the public is at risk.

On September 21, 2019 at approximately 6:00p.m., Saskatoon Police Service Patrol members along with Medavie Health Services responded to an injured male in the 1700blk of 20th St W.

Members from the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section, Target Enforcement Section and Forensic Identification are actively investigating this incident.

Currently there are traffic restrictions in the 1700blk and 1800blk of 20th St W.
