Aggravated Assault Update - Manslaughter Charge

A 31 year old man is now facing a charge of manslaughter, after having been previously charged with Aggravated Assault back on July 29th, 2019.

The victim, Tun Win, 49 years of age, had been in hospital since the incident, and passed away on September 13, 2019 as a result of his injuries.

The suspect will appear in Provincial Court tomorrow morning to answer to the charge.

This is the 12th recorded homicide for Saskatoon in 2019.

A 31 year old Saskatoon man is facing a charge of aggravated assault following an weekend incident and an investigation by members of the Targeted Enforcement Section.

On July 28, 2019 Police were called to St. Paul's Hospital where a 49 year old man was suffering from life threatening injuries.  The man had self-admitted on July 27, 2019.  Upon further investigation officers learned that the man had been assaulted at a home in the 600 block of 28th Street West.  Investigators located and arrested the 31 year old man at the scene.
