Indigenous Women’s Advisory Circle (IWAC)

The Indigenous Women’s Advisory Circle (IWAC) consists of a dedicated group of Indigenous women, two-spirited & gender diverse community members, the Chief of Police, SPS Executives and the Equity & Cultural Engagement Unit. The circle meets four times a year and provides lived experience perspectives to ensure that policing strategies are responsive to the safety, dignity and leadership of Indigenous Women as well as the entire Indigenous community.
