A man is facing charges after being found in possession of bear spray early this morning.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., June 2, 2025, patrol officers responded to a hotel in the 100 block of Cardinal Crescent after it was reported a man was in possession of a firearm. Upon arrival, police located a male matching the suspect description and detained him for a weapons investigation. Upon further investigation, officers found him to be concealing a can of bear spray in his waistband.

The 19-year-old male is charged with Possession of a Dangerous Weapon and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
