A 19 year old man is in custody following an assault and robbery on a city transit bus.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., November 1, 2025, Police were called to the corner of 20th Street West and Avenue J South. It was reported that a group of youth were fighting on the bus. Upon arrival, officers located an 18 year old male and an 18 year old female who had been assaulted and had a sweater and cell phone taken. Officers located the 19 year old nearby and brought him into custody. He is facing charges of Robbery (x2) and Breach of Probation.

The two victims suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The incident is not believed to be random in nature.
