Arrests - Evade Police Incidents

The Saskatoon Police Air Support Unit (ASU) was involved in two evade police incidents over the weekend that resulted in charges against six individuals.

(26-29548): At approximately 4:00 p.m., March 6, 2026, patrol officers located a stolen white Toyota Corolla travelling southbound on Idylwyld Drive from 38th Street West, and relayed the information to the ASU. The vehicle stopped at Alberta Avenue and 36th Street where the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot, and another passenger was observed getting into the drivers seat. The ASU continued to follow the vehicle until it came to a stop in a parking lot at 33rd Street and Idylwyld Drive. Patrol officers attended to the area and arrested three individuals. The fourth person who fled on foot was also located and arrested.

Two males, ages 26 and 28, and two females, both 26-years-old, are facing a total of 17 charges. (Court Info #'s 991332339, 991332342).

(26-30714): At approximately 3:45 a.m., March 9, 2026, a black Kia Soul confirmed to be stolen was observed travelling on the 22nd Street West near Confederation Drive. Officers attempted a traffic stop but the vehicle fled. The ASU located the vehicle and observed it park in a back alley in the 400 block of Avenue W North. Three occupants exited the vehicle and entered a garage. Two females walked around to the front of the house where police officers were waiting to take them into custody. A third individual, a 24-year-old male, was seen entering the home, and located hiding in a bedroom.

A 32-year-old female is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. A 24-year-old male is charged with Break and Enter. (Court Info # 991332454)

A second female was released without charges.
