Arrest - Internet Child Exploitation Investigation - Regina, SK

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Regina man with child exploitation-related offences.

In June 2025, the Saskatchewan ICE Unit was contacted by the Ontario Provincial Police regarding an investigation in which a 15-year-old male was the victim of Sextortion. A male adult residing in Regina, had posed as a teenage female and convinced the victim to send a nude photo of himself. After receiving the photo, the suspect then extorted the victim for money.

The investigative file was then transferred to Sask ICE. As a result of further investigation, 25-year old Munachi Chizura Anuka of Regina was charged on January 13, 2026 with the following:

  • Access child sexual abuse and exploitation material.
  • Extortion

Anuka was released on court-imposed conditions. His next court date is on January 29, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., Regina Provincial Court.

The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the Saskatchewan RCMP, Regina Police Service and Saskatoon Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
