The Major Crime Section is investigating following the city’s sixth homicide.

At around 10:54 p.m. on April 24, 2026, members of Patrol responded to the 2200 block of 22nd Street for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers located a 55-year-old unresponsive male. He was transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West. The male died in hospital on April 25, 2026.

Members of the Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are continuing to investigate.
