The Saskatoon Police Service is hosting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) on May 20th and 21st.
This two-day initiative will take place at various locations in and around Saskatoon with enforcement focus relating to impaired driving, distracted driving, seatbelt use, speeding, unlicensed driving/vehicle registration, and vehicle equipment regulations.
STEP is a multi-agency task force with the goal of improving traffic safety in Saskatchewan. Members of the public are advised there will be police officers from across the province in the Saskatoon area to conduct sobriety checkpoints, vehicle inspections, and other traffic safety initiatives on Wednesday and Thursday.
