A woman is facing charges after discharging a sawed-off shotgun earlier this morning.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., May 26, 2026, patrol officers responded to a restaurant in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West after it was reported that bear spray and a firearm had been discharged. Further investigation located a backpack that contained a matching firearm in the 400 block of Avenue T South. In the same area, officers located a female matching the suspect description and took her into custody.

No one reported sustaining any injuries as a result.

The 28-year-old woman is charged with seven firearms-related charges and arrested for an outstanding warrant.
