Police are investigating following a stabbing early this morning.

Shortly before 2:00 a.m. on May 27, 2026, police were called to the area of 14th Street East and Acadia Drive for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located the male victim suffering from stab wounds; he was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Further investigation found that a confrontation had occurred between multiple suspects and the victim which resulted in the victim being stabbed. The suspects then fled the area in a vehicle. The suspects and victim are not believed to be known to one another.

Members of the Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate.
