Assault On Security Officer Investigations

Saskatoon Police responded to multiple incidents involving security officers being assaulted on Sunday.

On July 19, 2026 at around 1:55 a.m., police were called to a business in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue North for a report of an injured person. Initial information stated a man had assaulted another man and that the victim was a security officer.

Officers arrived on scene and located the security officer with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Police learned the suspect had fled the scene prior to their arrival.

Police are continuing to investigate in relation to this incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

On July 19, 2026, at around 5:50 a.m., police were called to the 100 block of Avenue F South for a disturbance. It was reported that a woman threw a bodily fluid on a security officer.

Arriving officers located and arrested a woman matching the suspect description without further incident. Through investigation, officers learned the security officer had asked the woman to leave the area before a brief verbal confrontation occurred and the security officer returned to his vehicle. The woman then approached the vehicle with a cup of bodily fluids and poured it on top of the vehicle and security officer.

As a result, the 36-year-old woman has been charged with Assault.

Also on July 19, 2026 at approximately 1:25 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of 1st Avenue South for a report of an assault where it was reported that a security officer had been assaulted. Information also outlined that two men had been detained by security.

Arriving officers learned that security had been called to assist a business with three customers. While speaking with the group, two men in the group became physically confrontational with security.

Upon police arrival, both men were arrested and have been charged with Assault.
