A 19-year-old man is facing charges after returning to the scene of the crime.
On January 15, 2026, police responded to a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South after two suspects armed with a knife and bear spray, robbed a male victim of his property in a stairwell. The following day, police were again called to the mall after one of the suspects, wearing the same clothing as the day before, had returned. Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of a knife, a can of bear spray, and stolen property.
The 19-year-old male is charged with Robbery, and was also arrested on outstanding warrants. (Court Info # 991327449)

Police are investigating following a robbery yesterday evening.
At around 7:30 p.m. on January 15, 2026, police were called to a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South for a report of a robbery that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers learned that two suspects armed with a knife and bear spray had robbed the male victim of his property in a stairwell within the mall. The suspects then fled the area. It is unknown if the suspects and victim were known to one another.
Police are continuing to investigate.
