Arrests - Weapons Investigation - 300 Block Avenue E South

Two people were arrested following a report of a person armed with a firearm.

At around 1:30 a.m. on July 30, 2026, police were called to the 300 block of Avenue E South for a report of a person in possession of a firearm. Additional information provided to police indicated that a man had flashed a firearm that was tucked into his waistband. Responding officers located a man matching the suspect’s description walking with a woman in the area of 20th Street West and Avenue D South. He was arrested without further incident and found to be in possession of an imitation firearm and machete. The woman he was with was also found to be wanted on a warrant and in possession of a machete; she was also arrested without incident.

As a result, the 27-year-old man has been charged with multiple weapons-related offences and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions. The 18-year-old woman was charged with Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace, Unauthorized Carry of a Concealed Weapon, and Breaching Court-Imposed Conditions.
