A woman has been arrested and faces a number of charges in relation to an erratic driving incident on Monday.
At approximately 1:45 p.m. on August 3, 2026, police were called to the area of Highway 5 and Highway 41 for a report of an erratic driver. It was reported to police that a vehicle was travelling on the wrong side of the road.
As officers were responding, further updates came in stating the vehicle was at College Drive and Central Avenue. Police were able to locate the vehicle driving westbound on College Drive and initiated a traffic stop.
The driver of the vehicle was arrested shortly after. Through further investigation, officers learned the woman had provided the wrong identity, that she was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants and that the vehicle she was driving had been reported stolen.
As a result, the 26-year-old woman has been charged with:
- Obstructing Police;
- Fraudulently Personating another Person;
- Dangerous Driving; and
- Failure to Comply with Court-Imposed Conditions.
