A 36 year old man is facing charges following an incident where staff at a business were threatened with a gun yesterday.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., August 20, 2026, an officer was attending to the business in the 2000 block of 8th Street East on another matter. Staff reported that an unknown male had just left the store after threatening them with a gun. The male was quickly located outside and found to be in possession of a knife. An air soft pistol was found on the ground beside him. He was taken into custody without incident and found to have firearm prohibitions from Saskatoon, Buffalo Narrows, Warman and Grand Cache, Alberta.

He is now facing two counts of Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace and a number of firearm related charges.
