Two men have been arrested and face charges following a traffic stop where open alcohol and an improvised firearm were located on Sunday morning.
On October 11, 2026 at approximately 10:10 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in the 1700 block of 20th Street West.
Officers approached the vehicle and observed open alcohol and unstamped tobacco inside the vehicle. Four passengers of the vehicle were subsequently arrested under the Alcohol and Gaming Regulation Act. Officers believed the driver of the vehicle provided a false name.

Officers were also able to identify the driver of the vehicle who was found to be wanted on multiple outstanding warrants.
The driver of the vehicle, a 29-year-old man, has been charged with Obstructing a Peace Officer. A 33-year-old man has been charged with numerous firearms related charges. He has also been charged with:
- Resisting Arrest;
- Breach of Court-Imposed Conditions; and
- Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon.
Both men are scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on October 13, 2026.
