Bear Spray Incidents

Saskatoon Police responded to a number of bear spray incidents over the weekend.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., February 13, 2026, Police were called to the 200 block of 1st Ave. South where a woman reported being bear sprayed. The suspects had fled the scene. (26-19928)

At 8:40 p.m., February 13, 2026, Police were called to the 100 block of 22nd Street West where a male reported being bear sprayed and robbed. He was not able to provide officers with a suspect description. (26-19969)

On February 14, 2026, at approximately 7:20 p.m. Police received a report of a group of youths armed with bear spray in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South. A male and a female reported being the victims of a bear spray assault. (26-20373)

At 7:25 p.m., a report of bear spray being deployed on a bus was received. This incident also took place in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South. No one was seriously injured. (26- 20375)

Then, at approximately 7:30 p.m. a report was received that a male was walking westbound on 22nd Street West near Auditorium Avenue when he bear sprayed an unknown man. The suspect in this incident was arrested nearby. He is a 16 year old male who is facing charges of Assault and Possession of a Weapon.
